How to Make a Martini
Everyone loves to throw a great house party. Whether it’s just with small group of friends or a big family gathering, every party needs to have good drinks. Simple drinks like beer are fine but if you really want to spice up your party and make it one to remember then fancy drinks are the key. One of the classiest drinks you can make is the martini.
Your first step in learning how to make a martini is to make sure that you have the necessary tools and ingredients to create one. The mixing tools you will need are: a martini shaker (can be metal or plastic), a martini glass, some olive spears and a refrigerator or some place to keep your unmixed ingredients cool. The mixing ingredients you will need are: six ounces of your favorite vodka or gin, dry Vermouth, some olives (one to three olives is traditional, but if you don’t like olives you can use a slice of lemon peel), and some ice.
Make sure that all of your ingredients are well chilled and for a little extra flair try chilling your martini glass in the fridge or freezer (don’t leave it in too long though). Next take your martini glass and pour in a splash of the dry Vermouth. Swirl it around in the glass until all the sides are covered then discard the excess. Now take your shaker and fill it with ice.

The Perfect Martini
Pour in six ounces of your chosen drink (vodka or gin) and shake thoroughly for at least a minute. Then pour you shaken drink into your glass, skewer some olives and add drop them in. Now you know how to make a basic martini. If you prefer not to use olives you can use a small piece of lemon rind instead. Take the rind and run it around the rim of your glass and then put it in the glass and pour your drink on top this will give your martini a delicious twist of lemon flavor. Making martinis is very simple and serving martinis at your party will be the “cherry on top” of an already great night.
